The Festival Casa Hacker was created to connect the community to our movement and celebrate the organisation’s first year — the building of the Hackstation, the people building the hacker movement, and the local culture.

The festival brought together educators, activists, technologists, researchers, artists and the community dedicated to shaping the future of information and communication technology for the public good. Throughout the day, participants could:

  • Open the Hackstation, the fablab and free creation space in Parque Itajaí;
  • Discover projects, new technologies and ideas across the programme’s many activities;
  • Share projects and ideas;
  • Make new connections with people from the movement;
  • Celebrate the work, local culture and art, and the collective’s stories;
  • Get to know the Casa de Cultura Itajaí and the community that keeps it running.
